Event FAQ's

Here are some answers that might help.

Where can I find the course maps?

The course maps will be released closer to the event date, in about June.

Will you send my bib and ‘stuff’ out?

All of your registration items, including your bib (with timer) and event buff will be available to pick up at registration before your event.

What type of shoes should I wear?

The course is a combination of gravel farm roads and rocky, sandstone trails.  For all events, we strongly recommend wearing comfortable trail running shoes, with good tread.  As the event takes place in early spring, the ground underfoot could be wet or dry, so prepare for dust or mud!

Can I listen to music when I run?

We don’t recommend listening to music, as the birds, emus and your fellow runners will be making enough noise to keep you entertained on the trail! However, if you swear by listening to music, it is allowed.  We ask that you wear just one ear bud, so you can hear any alerts from course marshalls or other runners.

What is the refund policy?

The full refund policy can be found here.

How can I edit my registration/change distance after registering?

Yes! If you’d like to change events, simply email our amazing team at pilliga@forwildplaces.com, and they can upgrade/downgrade your event entry.  The cut-off for changing events is 1st September 2024.

Are there mandatory items?

Yes! Every event has mandatory items which can be found here.

Can I run AND volunteer?

Of course! As the event is held over 3 days we encourage people to get involved in various ways.  There is no entry discount for volunteering, but you do get some handy perks for volunteering which will help you reduce your costs, as well as positively contribute to the event!

How much does it cost to enter?

Pricing for each event is as follows:

Pilliga 10k Early Bird: $55, Regular: $60

Pilliga 20k Early Bird: $90, Regular: $100

Pilliga Ultra 50k Early Bird: $180, Regular: $200

Pilliga Ultra Grand Slam Early Bird: $290, Regular: $320

Yes! We will have some teeshirts and hats available closer to the event date.  We will email participants with designs, pricing and sizing closer to the event date.  All merchandise will be distributed at the event.

Medals?

Finishers will receive a finishers token, which will be a surprise for you at the finish line!
