Are you our next Board Secretary?

Want to gain valuable Board experience?

For Wild Places is on the search for a new Board Secretary, to help guide and manage the board through what will be our biggest year at FWP yet.  Our current Board Secretary, Liz, is stepping down after almost 2 years in the role, as she is now a member of our Board of Directors.

We are not looking for someone with specific experience as a Board Secretary, but rather someone that is keen to learn more about how boards work and For Wild Places, whilst making a positive contribution.  The skills and experience required are pretty general – what we are really looking for is someone who is good at administration, organising and is details focused.

If this sounds like you, or someone you know, check out the Position Description below and get in touch.  Applications for the position will close on Sunday 12th February, with the positions starting soon after.  To apply for the position, please send a cover letter and CV to Hilary (CEO) at hilary@forwildplaces.com.au, with the subject ‘Board Secretary  Position’. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions prior to applying.

We are very excited to expand our small but mighty team, and look forward to hearing from you! Please feel free to forward this post onto any friends, family, running buddies or environmental champions that you think would be suitable!

We are an inclusive team and value diversity in all its forms. Women, LGBTQIA+ folks, anyone who identifies as Indigenous or any other racialised groups, those from ethnically diverse communities and people experiencing barriers or challenges with employment are encouraged to apply. In your role, we hope you will express yourself, inspire others and contribute to the dynamism of For Wild Places and the running community.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out – hilary@forwildplaces.com
