Join our community of runners, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts as we come together to protect and celebrate the diversity and beauty of our wild places.

As runners, we witness the threats to our wild places every time we step onto the trails.  Whether it be logging, mining, fossil fuel extraction or climate change, we can see the impact our current attitudes to nature have on the ecosystems and landscapes surrounding them.

For Wild Places wants to channel your love of trail running into a meaningful expression of environmental activism so that together, each of us can help these wild places we love survive and thrive.

We’re calling on our community of runners, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts to join us on the journey as we fight to protect and celebrate the diversity and beauty of our wild places.  We do this by:

Bringing communities together to give back to the trails, by doing maintenance, picking up rubbish and advocating for positive change
Bringing people to the Pilliga Forest to raise awareness and funds about this sacred and biodiverse place that is under threat from coal seam gas extraction
Building an empowered community by becoming a member buy contributing annually to the growth and impact of For Wild Places
